Here's What's Really Going On-
Pain in your upper back, between the shoulder blades, radiating around your ribs—it's super common with desk work and poor posture. And it tends to be chronic because the underlying causes keep happening every single day.
Upper back pain usually comes from thoracic spine dysfunction, rib problems, or chronic muscle tension from postural strain. Hours sitting with rounded shoulders and forward head creates constant load on your upper back.
The thoracic spine (mid-back) is designed for rotation and breathing mechanics. When those joints get restricted—which happens easily with poor posture—it creates pain and stiffness. Your ribs attach to your thoracic spine, and rib dysfunction can cause sharp pain that wraps around your chest.
We evaluate thoracic mechanics and rib movement. Chiropractic adjustments restore normal motion to these areas. When the thoracic spine and ribs move properly, pain typically decreases significantly and breathing even feels easier.
Muscle tension in the upper back responds well to adjustments plus laser therapy. Chronically tight muscles between your shoulder blades need both restored joint mechanics and inflammation control.
We also address posture and ergonomics. If you're re-creating the problem every day at work, we need to change that pattern.
The goal's getting you through your workday without constant upper back pain. Being able to sit, stand, and move without that nagging discomfort that makes everything harder.
