Here's What's Really Going On-
Migraines aren't just bad headaches—they're complex neurological events. Intense throbbing pain (often one-sided), light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, nausea, sometimes visual disturbances or aura. They can be completely debilitating.
The exact cause of migraines isn't fully understood, but we know there are triggers: hormonal changes, certain foods, stress, sleep disruption, dehydration, and—importantly—mechanical factors like neck dysfunction.
That last one is where we come in. A lot of migraine sufferers have cervical spine problems contributing to their migraines. Upper cervical dysfunction can trigger the trigeminocervical pathway and set off migraines.
We evaluate your cervical mechanics and identify restrictions or dysfunctions that might be contributing. Chiropractic adjustments to the upper cervical spine can reduce migraine frequency and intensity for many patients.
Laser therapy can help with inflammation and tissue health in the neck, which may reduce triggers.
We also look at postural factors. Forward head posture and tech neck create constant strain on upper cervical structures, which can lower your threshold for migraines.
The goal's not necessarily eliminating migraines completely (though that happens for some people). It's reducing frequency and intensity so they're manageable and don't control your life.
If we can get you from 15 migraines a month to 3, that's life-changing. If we can reduce severity so you can function instead of being bedridden, that matters enormously.
